Information about El Calafate
Located on the road to Perito Moreno, El Calafate is often considered as a stopover town. However, it has much more to offer, thanks to its location its remote atmosphere. Nestled on the shores of Lake Argentino, it offers picturesque viewpoints as you walk through its shady streets. It feels good to rest on the terrace of one of its many cafés and restaurants with rustic architecture, but it is also possible to visit the Glaciarium, an interactive museum about the glaciers, or to go to the Nimez lagoon, and observe many species of birds, including flamingos.
