Mt. Pandebrasken on Skjoldungen Island, Greenland

An uninhabited island with remains of Inuit dwellings

Information about Skjoldungen

Large Island, mid-way along the south-east coast, an area that has numerous fjords coming down from the icecap.

Uninhabited today, it was used by nomadic people for thousands of years with the remains of Inuit dwellings. A harsh area to survive in, the Vikings never settled this stetch of coast. Tidewater glaciers calve into the fjords for great ship and Zodiac cruising.
