Information about Puerto Williams

Puerto Williams is a small city in Chile located on Navarino Island on the southern shores of the famous Beagle Channel. The city claims to be the “southernmost city in the world”, however due to its small size – 2500 residents approximately – the much larger Argentinean city of Ushuaia, which is located on the northern side of the same channel, also claims that title. A visit to Puerto Williams offers a quieter, more relaxed experience. The small village feel, including rustic building and the comforting smell of burning driftwood charms its visitors. A little haven at the end of the world.

Some Antarctica expedition cruises might fly to or from the small airport in Puerto Williams.
