Explore the biggest glacier in the National Park

Information about Lake and Glacier Grey

The Grey Glacier is a glacier in the north-west of the Torres del Paine National Park. It is 6 kilometers wide and over 30 meters high, covering a total area of 270 km², making it the biggest Glacier in the National Park. The Grey Glacier is part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, which is the world's second-largest contiguous ice field after those found in the poles. The massive glacier ends in the lake of the same name, Lake Grey, where its front end is divided by a big rock island. It is quite normal to see small icebergs floating on the lake due to glacier's calving. Depending on the climate, the iceberg’s color can turn from white to a rich blue, creating an almost mystic atmosphere.

Patagonie : Parc Torres del Paine, 5 raisons de ne pas le louper !
Patagonian Fauna

In the far reaches of South America, Patagonia pulses with life both fierce and fragile. With Viventura, you’ll journey through wide steppes, ice-bound peaks, and coastal cliffs—on the lookout for the creatures that make this land unforgettable.

What we like about Patagonia’s wildlife is its drama—from pumas stalking silently through Torres del Paine to Magellanic penguins waddling along wind-swept beaches. And above it all, the mighty Andean condor circles like a shadow of myth.

Our small group tours put you in the right place at the right time—sunrise in the pampas, quiet coves echoing with sea lions’ calls, or silent trails that reveal fox tracks in the dust. With expert local guides and Viventura’s thoughtful planning, you’ll experience nature’s rhythm without disturbing its peace.

Parc National Torres del Paine
Puma Sektor Lago Sarmiento

In the windswept sector around Lago Sarmiento, the silence is broken only by the sound of guanacos… and the occasional whisper of a big cat. With Viventura, you venture into one of the best puma-tracking zones in Torres del Paine, guided by local wildlife experts who know where and how to look. The Puma Sector offers sweeping views, rich biodiversity, and a real chance to spot the elusive feline icon of Patagonia — all while respecting the natural balance of this fragile ecosystem.

What we like about the Puma Sector at Lago Sarmiento is how it reveals the rawness of Patagonia — the feeling of being watched, not by people, but by nature itself. It’s an experience that stays with you long after the trail fades behind.

The majestic towers of Paine

They rise like granite prayers from the earth—sharp, solemn, and impossibly majestic. The Torres del Paine are more than just a trekker’s dream; they are Patagonia’s soul in stone. With Viventura, you’ll journey deep into the heart of this wild landscape, where wind, ice, and silence sculpt awe into every view.

What we like about the Torres is the reward—the way the trail builds to that final, breathless moment, when the towers emerge from the mist above a milky glacier-fed lake. It’s not just beautiful—it’s transcendent.

Viventura takes care of everything: permits, logistics, expert guides. You carry only wonder (and maybe your daypack). Whether you’re doing the full W-trek or a scenic day hike, our small groups make sure your experience stays intimate, safe, and connected to the land.

Torres del Paine
Torres del Paine national park

The Torres del Paine National Park is located about 112 km north of the small city of Puerto Natales in the Chilean Patagonia. Chile's most spectacular National Park is under protection by UNESCO since 1978 to preserve the natural treasure it contains. Torres del Paine is known for its vast hiking trails with mountain huts located on the most remote places, fascinating icebergs, glaciers, turquoise lakes as well as numerous rivers and waterfalls. The park is also home to a wide variety of wild animals like the Guanacos, Darwin's Rheas, Gray foxes, Cougars, and of course the Andean Condor. One of the most iconic sites of the park are "las Torres", three great granite towers embedded in the Paine mountain range. These magnificent peaks are what the park took its name from, and it is known by travelers all over the world. Thanks to the unpredictable Patagonian climate, no day is like the one before and it's not uncommon to experience sun, wind, rain, and maybe snow in one single day. A visit to the Torres del Paine National Park is truly a paradise for nature lovers and photographers with breathtaking scenery at every turn.

Cuernos Paine
Trekking to viewpoint Cuernos

The Los Cuernos viewpoint trek is a window into the wild soul of Patagonia. With Viventura, your path winds through lenga forests, along turquoise lakes, and beneath the shadows of the jagged Cuernos del Paine, some of the most dramatic peaks in the Andes. This moderate trek blends accessibility with awe — a perfect introduction to the power of Torres del Paine without the rigors of a full multi-day circuit.

What we like about the Los Cuernos Viewpoint is how it reveals nature’s boldness in full display — granite spires stabbing the sky, condors circling overhead, and silence that speaks volumes. With Viventura, it’s not just a hike — it’s a story you’ll retell in photos, journals, and wide-eyed wonder.

Viewpoint "Salto Grande"

In the heart of Torres del Paine, Salto Grande roars like nature’s drumbeat—a cascade of turquoise water smashing into granite cliffs with relentless energy. With Viventura, you don’t just see a waterfall; you feel the pulse of Patagonia’s wild spirit.

What we like about Salto Grande is the raw power—the way the water crashes with thunder and sprays a cool mist that refreshes the air and your soul. Standing near the falls, you’re immersed in a natural symphony where rock, water, and wind play in harmony.

Our guided tours bring you safely close to this spectacle, with plenty of spots to admire and photograph. Along the trails, keep an eye out for native birds and the occasional guanaco grazing nearby. With Viventura, the magic of Salto Grande comes alive in every drop.
